OGDEN, UT – Students and graduates of ĢƵ (ĢƵ) now have a new seamless pathway to continue their education, thanks to an exciting partnership with Western Governors University (WGU).
Credits earned at ĢƵ will now transfer to WGU to go towards a bachelor’s and even a master’s degree— saving students time, reducing costs, and opening doors to further career opportunities.
“At Ogden-Weber Tech, we train students with the skills they need to become immediately employed in a high-wage, high-demand job here in our community,” said ĢƵ president, James R. Taggart. “This partnership builds upon the hands-on, career-ready skills our students receive at ĢƵ and are continuing to develop with their employers, providing direct employment pathways and leadership opportunities. Through WGU, our students and alumni have access to high-quality, higher education that allows them to stay employed, have appropriate work, life and school balance, and stay in our community.”

In addition to expanding educational access and career advancement, the partnership introduces new financial support for ĢƵ students, alumni, and faculty through the up to $3,500 towards tuition at WGU.
